Football And Its Transfers

By Wambui Njau

The 2019/2020 season was on its climax before the corona virus attacked . It was all sweaty and the teams were struggling to remain at the top . Fans were never left behind because all they knew was that the team they support remained to be the best , come to talk about it, they call themselves die hards .

As we say east or west home is the best and our league ( Kenya premier league) was not left behind and in January we had so many transfers and for the time being K’ogallo (Gor Mahia) tops the table followed by Kakamega homeboys ,batoto ba mvinyo Tusker fc takes the third place ,Ulinzi fourth and KCB takes the fifth best position.

After the pandemic it all got messy because football Kenya federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa through his Twitter account announced Gormahia as the winners of 2019-2020 football season which brought so many questions on to how he went about it and suggestions came in that the remaining games Should be played after the cessation movement has been lifted by the government and so far so good no transfer rumours have been brought up.

The Europe continent have got all eyes and ears because Football is back!!! and the league that is currently on your screens is Germany Bundesliga where Bayern takes the lead followed by Dortmund , Monchengladbach takes number three while RB Leipzig takes the fourth best.

We focus on the transfers where the blues have decided to extend their goalkeeper’s Cabellero contract for one year so he will be around 2020-2021 season also they decided to extend Olivier Giroud’s contract.
Napoli forward Dries Merten has extended his stay in the club for two years while Norwich has signed Danel Sinani.

Rumors got it that “The Gunnar’s” are working hard to see their squad rise again and they are hopeful of signing Manuel Akanji from Dortmund, Justin Kluvert from Roma, Moussa Diaby from Leverkusen, Neto who is a goalkeeper in Barcelona, Willian who plays for Chelsea and Mauro Icardi who is apparently supposed to replace Aubamayang who announced his departure early this year.

The blue’s are in the race to sign Kal Havertz from Leverkusen ,they are still racing with Tottenham to sign Feyenoord’s player Lamare Bogarde. They have also decided they will have to strengthen it with United young star Angel Gomes and where talks are on going.

Chelsea have also decided to fill the gap if in case N’Golo Kante leaves they have reached out to Declan Rice from Westham. Orkun Kokcu is still on their toplist where they have to face Arsenal one on one to who will sign him first.

Newcastle united is the talk of the Town because they seem to be going for the ‘guru’s” the likes of The premier league “darling” head coach Mauricio pochettino would be giving it a comeback this comes after he got fired from Tottenham hot Spurs after he was unable to register pleasing results.

The Red Devils will be having it rough since Paul Pogba has been linked to transfer to Juventus and as that happens they have had their attention to Samuel Umtiti who is currently doing his thing in Barca Barca.

Having had a hard time having a striker last season where their biggest hope was laid in Marcus Rashford Ole’s team have knocked Wolves’ doors and they are in the race to get Raul Jimenez. It is evident that they also so hungry to sign Kalidou Koulibaly and Wolves’ winger Adama Traore before the season came to a halt United stood at number five in the English Premier League.

The leading Giants 2019-2020 season have also not been left out because they need their squad better than before and more stronger because their slogan remains “We will never walk alone” and because of that they have been admiring Manchester City’s winger Leroy Sane.

Sevilla have also fallen victims for having their player wanted that is Diego Carlos. Kalidou Koulibaly seems to be a hot cake since The Reds won’t get tired of those talks because they want him playing in A field.

Other players that eyed include Youngest world cup player Kylian Mbappe who plays in Paris Saint Germain, the likes of Ferran Torres, Ben white and Phillipee Coutinho.
