Where is my place?

Where is my place?

Women, the most neglected human being
She is seen as an object and not a human being
She is regathered as a source of wealth
With no right to have her own
If she is in her father’s house, she has no right to inheritance because she is just a woman

When she gets married and loses her husband,
She has no right over his belongings
Where is my right

How different am I from my brothers yet we attended the same schools and sat in the same class
What makes my brother more important than I am
And what does being a man mean

Tell me my place in this world
Tell me what really belongs to me
Because even the children I carried for 9 months are not regarded mine

What is my purpose
Am I just a property to be used to satisfy
Your thirst, your hunger and make your pockets full.

I am the most cheated creature in this world
With no place to call my home and with nothing I can hold on to and say it’s mine
Because the laws and the cultures say it’s a man’s.
